burnt oranges chevron patterned knitted shawl

Another Show & Tell.

This one is a stunning Stephen West shawl - Woven Chevrons (available to buy on Ravelry and at WestKnits)

Knitted by Val in Vivacious 4ply this is a large triangle shawl.

It features an i-cord edge (knitted as you go) and uses 4 colours. Val chose:

  • 629 - Smokey Joe
  • 634 - Halloween
  • 635 - Maple Syrup
  • 602 - Copper Tones

Combined they have an almost metallic effect.

You can see three of these Vivacious 4ply colours in Sabine's Fantoosh too. An all over lace shawl which has a very different, lighter, effect.

Woven Chevrons combines contrasting colours, garter stitch with some stocking stitch and simple shaping to create lots of texture and movement.

Given it's size it also has a lovely comforting weight to it.

Woven Chevrons can be bought as a single pattern but it's also part of a 3 pattern e-book too.
