The first of our new season Rowan is a new to us yarn - Rowan Alpaca Soft DK.
It's a soft blend of wool and alpaca and has an amazing range of shades.
It also has two new pattern books!
Georgia Farrell's book, My London, has 10 knitting patterns for accessories - with large wrappable shawls and scarves and bobble hats. It uses both Alpaca Soft and Alpaca Classic yarns (already a favourite in the shop!)
Georgia's colour palette is stunning, combining tonal pairings and bold colour combinations.
There are simple textured patterns and more complex combinations of stitches and cables... all inspired by London architecture.

The second new pattern book has a very different aesthetic. Carousel features 9 designs by Martin Storey with a grey and pop of colour palette and stranded colourwork designs inspired by traditional Nordic and Folkloric patterning. And they are mostly worked in the round (hurrah!)
Highlights include a large scarf worked as a tube. A short cowl in two sizes with two designs and a show stopping coat.
